Happy Easter

This week, the local county offices were closed for Good Friday, the day that Christians celebrate Jesus' death. I saw this sign up at the county courthouse:

The cross depicts the cross where Jesus died. The palm branch represents the palm branches that people spread on the road as Jesus rode into Jerusalem the Sunday before His death (see John 12:12-19).

I think it's wonderful that our county government is placing Christian symbols at its offices.

This Easter, we will celebrate Jesus' resurrection from the dead. To find out how you can have hope in Jesus, read my earlier blog post here.
